B's Bags makes handmade, functional, high-quality bags in the USA. We sew a variety of bags, including totes, clutches, crossbody bags, and more.

 

Bonita started sewing as a child, watching her mother sew school clothes for her siblings and her. Her favorite was the Halloween costumes in grade school, such as a pilgrim and a red devil with a long tail. Her mother also sewed for neighbors, from hemming dresses and slacks to bridal and bridesmaids' dresses. In middle school, her mother taught sewing at a local community center, where Bonita participated. Her mother is the inspiration and drive behind her love for sewing.

We started in 2018 when founder Bonita Lee Penn was urged by her daughters after they noticed she was sewing many tote bags and suggested she start selling some of them at local pop-up events.

 

Soon, Bonita was not only sewing totes but also ventured into crossbody, clutches, pouches, and travel bags. Her bags have been sold at the August Wilson Block Party, Sweetwater Center for the Arts Holiday Mart, and Mavuno celebrations, as well as at various local pop-up events.

 

In 2024, B's Bags LLC established an online presence to attract and serve clients worldwide. Her bags are made for everyday use and special occasions when you want to shine with a unique bag.

Crafted from eco-friendly, sustainable fabrics, vinyl, faux leather, wax canvas, mudcloth, Ankara, suede, and more beautiful fabrics, is what makes B’s Bags stand out.

 

B's Bags is doing its part to bring back the work of traditional sewists in the production of hand-sewn items in small batches. 

 

 Our goal at B's Bags is to spotlight the artisans who use their hands to craft unique products for the public.
